Our mission
Fish On Charter exists to help anglers find trusted fishing trips and help professional charter operators run a cleaner booking operation. The platform should make availability, pricing, payment expectations, launch details, and safety responsibilities easier to understand before anyone arrives at the water.
Platform role
Fish On Charter is a booking and discovery platform. Charter trips are operated by independent charter operators, and the service contract for the trip is between the angler and the operator. Fish On Charter may provide marketplace tools, booking records, payment initiation, notifications, reviews, compliance review, and administrative oversight.
Trip details, launch decisions, vessel readiness, skipper decisions, and on-water safety remain the operator's responsibility. Platform administrators may remove or restrict content that is inaccurate, unsafe, unlawful, or inconsistent with platform standards.
Accounts and verification
- Users must provide accurate contact and profile information when creating an account or booking a trip.
- Charter operators must upload required compliance documents before being publicly listed.
- Fish On Charter may approve, reject, suspend, or request more information for operator registrations.
- Login codes are security credentials. They must not be shared with anyone.
Bookings and cancellations
A booking secures seats on a scheduled trip only after the required payment step is completed. Operators provision fuel, bait, crew, and launch planning around confirmed bookings, so cancellation windows and no-show handling must be respected.
- Operators may set trip-specific cancellation rules within the platform policy framework.
- Weather and safety cancellations remain skipper-led.
- If an angler does not arrive for a confirmed trip, the operator's no-show and refund policy may apply.
- Fish On Charter may show booking, payment, and cancellation status in the account area for clarity.
Payments, refunds, and payouts
Payments are processed through the configured payment provider. The platform may support full payment, deposits, payment holds, refunds, and operator payouts as the product matures. Payment provider terms may also apply.
Refund eligibility depends on the applicable booking policy, operator cancellation settings, payment status, and the reason for cancellation. Weather cancellations should be handled in a way that keeps anglers informed and protects operators from avoidable provisioning losses.
Charter operator responsibilities
- Keep vessel, skipper, launch location, pricing, inclusions, and trip descriptions accurate.
- Maintain required permits, safety documentation, and operating compliance.
- Communicate material trip changes quickly through the platform.
- Honour confirmed bookings unless safety, weather, mechanical, legal, or operational conditions require a change.
User conduct
Users must act respectfully and lawfully. Harassment, discrimination, fraud, document misrepresentation, unsafe conduct, payment abuse, platform manipulation, and attempts to bypass platform protections may result in account restriction or removal.
Enforcement and changes
Fish On Charter may investigate reports, request evidence, hide listings, pause bookings, restrict accounts, or update policies when needed to protect anglers, operators, and the platform. Continued use of the platform after policy updates means the updated terms apply.
